- Project Assistant: ₹27,000 + HRA

- Project Associate-II: ₹42,000 + HRA (NET/GATE qualified) or ₹33,000 + HRA (Non-NET/GATE)

Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of essential qualification, age limit, percentage of marks, specialization relevance, research experience, and publications will be called for the online interview. The marking criteria is different for every post category is as below.
a) Field/Lab/Project Assistant Category (Total: 50 Marks)
- % Marks in Bachelor's Degree: 25 Marks
- Specialization relevance to the project (via internship, volunteering, or work experience): 25 Marks
b) Project Associate-I Category (Total: 50 Marks)
- % Marks in Master's Degree: 25 Marks
- Specialization relevance to the project: 25 Marks
c) Project Associate-II / Senior Project Associate / Principal Project Associate / Project Scientist Category (Total: 50 Marks)
- UGC/CSIR/ICAR NET with JRF or WII-NET Passed: 5 Marks
- % Marks in Post-Graduation: 25 Marks
- Research/Work Experience: 10 Marks
- Publications (journals, conferences, book chapters): 10 Marks
The top 10 shortlisted candidates for each advertised project/position will be called for an online interview. Meeting the minimum qualification does not guarantee an interview call. The Institute's decision on eligibility, shortlisting, and selection is final.
WII Recruitment 2026: Required Documents

- Work experience certificates mentioning start and end tenure, issued by employer/guide/supervisor
- Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
- UGC/CSIR/NET qualification certificate (if applicable)

- Passport-size photograph and signature
- Application Processing Fee payment receipt
- No Objection Certificate (for candidates currently working with any WII project or Ph.D. scholars, not older than one month from the last date of application)
- No Dues Certificate (for candidates who previously worked at WII)
Applications without these supporting documents are liable to be rejected.

- Keep scanned copies of all required documents (educational certificates, marksheets, experience letters, category certificate, NET/GATE certificate, publications, photograph, signature, and fee receipt) ready before starting.
- Register and fill in the online application form carefully, entering educational details exactly as per your marksheets.
- Pay the application/processing fee online (or via NEFT/RTGS/offline mode) and upload the payment receipt in the application form.
- Upload all supporting documents as specified.
- Review and submit the application before the last date, 28 July 2026.
- If applying for more than one position, submit a separate online application form with fee and documents for each position (maximum of two positions relevant to your academic background).
Important Instructions
- Only online applications are accepted; no printed application copies will be considered.
- A candidate may apply for a maximum of two advertised positions relevant to their academic background and eligibility.
- Separate application forms, documents, and fees are required for each position applied to.
- Candidates currently engaged with a WII project or pursuing a Ph.D. must submit a recent No Objection Certificate.
- All positions are purely temporary and linked to project duration; they stand abolished on project completion.
- Canvassing in any form will lead to rejection of candidature.
- The list of shortlisted candidates and interview results will be published under the "Latest News & Announcements" section of the WII website.
- Selected candidates must join the project position immediately within the duration mentioned in the offer letter.
- The Director, WII, reserves the right to reject any application without assigning a reason.
