Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed Class 10 (High School).
- Must have passed ITI in the relevant trade from an institute recognized by NCVT (NCVT or SCVT accepted for Welder and Electrician trades).
- Must be a regular ITI pass-out (2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026, depending on trade) — candidates who did ITI as private candidates are not eligible.
- Minimum marks in ITI: 60% for General/EWS/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer); 55% for SC/ST.
- Candidates who have already completed apprenticeship after ITI, have 1+ year of job experience, or are pursuing any regular course, are not eligible.
- Candidates terminated from apprenticeship at another organization within 3 months prior to joining BHEL are not eligible, as per the Apprentices (Amendment) Rules, 2025.

Stipend
All selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend during the training period as per applicable apprenticeship guidelines. Refer to Official Notification for the exact stipend amount, as it is prescribed under the Apprentices Act and related rules rather than stated as a fixed figure in the notification.
Reservation Policy
- Reservation as per government norms for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD candidates.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates need a caste certificate issued on or after 1 April 2025, in the prescribed Government of India format.
- EWS candidates need a certificate valid for financial year 2026-27.
- Reservation is available for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees (working/retired/deceased), as per company rules.
- Priority is given to Uttarakhand-domiciled candidates — a valid Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate is mandatory (except for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees).

Selection Process
Selection is based on a weighted merit list:
- 70% weightage to marks obtained in ITI
- 30% weightage to marks obtained in High School (Class 10)
In case of a tie, preference goes first to the candidate with the higher ITI percentage, and if the tie persists, to the older candidate. If eligible candidates in a trade are fewer than or equal to the vacancies, all eligible candidates are called directly for training.

- ITI consolidated marksheet (or all semester marksheets, if unavailable)
- Aadhaar Card
- Caste certificate / EWS certificate (if applicable)

- Uttarakhand Domicile Certificate (mandatory for Uttarakhand residents; not required for BHEL employee dependents)
- Registration proof from the Apprenticeship Portal
- "Form for Employee Ward" (only for dependents of BHEL Haridwar employees)

Register at apprenticeshipindia.gov.in. Enter all details carefully, especially your Aadhaar number — your name, father's name, and date of birth must match Aadhaar exactly, and the portal must show successful Aadhaar verification.
